Seasoned vaper here who gave up fags 4 years ago and it is now a hobby of mine.

This is all off the top of my head and have loads more I cannot think of right now including mechs (must know ohms law when using these)
Smok Nord is the best device for starters as it comes with 2 coils one for mouth to lung and one for direct to lung, essentially replicating smoking or for more clouds and flavour
For juices I make my own using boss shots and VG and PG plus nic shots or by premium liquids dependant on your flavour profile from many reputable online outlets such as Evolution Vaping, Washington Vapes, Next Day Vapes, Vape potions etc.
You will get better flavours from building your own coils (or buying pre-made) and using a RDA (coils, cotton bacon etc) - many YT vids if you cannot work out what to do.
Due to TPD you can only get nic ready liquid in 10ml bottles, however you can buy short fills say 50mg, 100mg and add nic shots to make the juice your desired nic strength i.e. 3mg or 6mg.
I am essentially well up to date with vaping as a hobby as well as having sound knowledge of the industry having spent time in the industry as well

The only reason I don't use nic salt juice that it seems to be only available in quite high Nicotine. I only use 3mg, but yes, the usual liquid is fine in the Nord and what a great little device it is.

Gave up same day as jfk. Get the odd craving but that’s it. It goes. Best thing I’ve done. Running is now a piece of piss. No side effects

Biggest difference for me is sleeping. When i was a smoker i would wake up after no more than 2 hours sleep craving a drag and this pattern was familiar my entire adult life. Always guessed that my nicotine craving would over ride my need to sleep and within seconds of waking i would shuffle downstairs and have a feww puffs. This would happen 2 or 3 times a night (unless i'd had a good drink) but now i go to sleep and tharts me for at least 7 hours. And its fucking beautiful.

I've not touched a snout since New Year's Day 2018 so 18 months now.
My second aspire zealor broke this morning due to the charging point.
Purchased a zenith innokin today through a vape shop "expert type." £60 quid.It seems a better made product.
I only use menthol/spearmint juice no big cloud nonsense,don't "vape" often a small bottle of juice lasts me a week.
I feel miles better not smoking fags and no longer cough in the mornings,it's obviously not completely harmless but definitely a step in the right direction and stopped me smoking 25 taylors a day.

For those that vape on 'planes -
Flying out of Orlando a couple of months ago, we were next onto the runway when this guy in front had a crafty toke on his vape. The crew somehow saw him, turned the 'plane around and the guy was frogmarched out by this Air Marshall, who was promising him a week's extra holiday in the local Orlando Nick.
Not so crafty after all.

I wish i could do what you do. My old dear was the same,could smoke 3or 4 fags a week then not touch one for a month. I've done better than i ever thought i might but there are still times when i would almost kill for a handful of Amber Leaf and a few Vera's. Also miss the occasional spliff but not quite brave enough to try a reefer just yet. Which is a cunt as i have had a bag of weed sitting in a drawer for a year now. I'll have to learn how to bake a weed cake.

Yep and if you hold it down long enough it doesn't even come back up as smoke. Probably extremely bad for you but so is normal smoking.
I haven't smoked "properly" for years (have the odd fag when on the piss but thats it) but most vapes don't feel "right"... however hers does. Dunno if that's the oil or whatever though.

Recommendations depend on what you want to vape FC?
I only vape weed or CBD bud these days and there are specially made vaporisers for that.
Used to vape CBD oil but can't stand the propylene glycol & vegetable glycerin they mix with all vape juices, tastes shit & I'm sure it's bad for you as it makes me cough.

Hasans what about all the chemicals in the flavouring and colouring? Are they designed to be inhaled into the lungs?
I know a lot of people that have never smoked but have now got onto vaping. Is it fashionable? It looks odd and mechanical but I haven’t tried it as I just gave up smoking instead.
